Robin directed the episodes Revolution and Age of Industry which cover the period from Galileo to the end of the First World War – a period of nearly three hundred years. Robin shot the documentary elements with Andrew Marr across the world, and he spent three months in Cape Town directing the drama for these two episodes with a full-scale drama crew.
